We care about the music

  • Did you sing at school and miss it now?
  • We sing in four part harmony so we’re the right choir for you if you can hold your part and sing in time.
  • We read from sheet music but reading music is not essential.
  • We sing a range of musical styles.
  • We amplify women's voices and the voices of marginalised groups through our programming. 
  • We enjoying premiering new works for treble voices.

We put in the work

  • We expect our members to put in the work, and we work together to help each other.
  • We expect our members to come to the majority of rehearsals and to attend performances as a matter of respecting each other. We can be flexible in discussion with our musical director.

Community

  • We aim to have a warm, inclusive and joyful community.
  • We stay connected to our local community through the local Council.
  • We stay connected to the wider music community through performance opportunities and working with emerging composers.

Ready to sing with us?

When do you rehearse?

We rehearse on Wednesday nights from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at a school in Aberfeldie, near Essendon.


We usually choose one week of the school holidays to rehearse, and we reward ourselves with a one-week break following most performances.


We always have a supper break and love our time to chat and catch up.

What about fees?

We have an annual membership fee of $500, all costs included. There is an option to pay this in two parts.


For new members - the first three sessions are free! Come and have a sing with us!

How do I join?

  • Fill out our contact form and let us know you’d like to come along. We’ll be in touch by phone or email to arrange coming to your first rehearsal.
  • As part of the journey, you’ll enjoy a complimentary voice lesson with Marjorie Hannah: a chance to get to know your voice and our sound.
  • And to make it easy to try us out, your first three rehearsals are completely free. No pressure, just music, community, and joy.
